Book Review: “Evil Thing” by Serena Valentino

First off, I have to say that I absolutely love this series. All the books fit so nicely together into this big pictures story and connect so well. They did a great job of planning the series out it feels like before ever writing even the first one. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the Cruella story, or even how it would fit in since she's a more modern character while the others are more fairy tale medieval/renaissance time. But I loved this story! By the time I was halfway through I had a really hard time putting it down for the night.

Book Review: “The Odd Sisters” by Serena Valentino

This was a great addition to the Villain series that gave us a deeper insight into the history of madness from the three odd sisters whom the entire series seems to revolve around. I don't want to give too many spoilers because there were definitely some "aha!" moments when reading their history and making.

I absolutely loved the old Russian folklore brought to life by the beautiful writing of Katherine Arden! Set in the 1300s in Russia, she described this far off foreign land vividly and I felt as if I were there amidst the chyerti and battles.

I… Continue reading Book Review: “The Girl in the Tower” (Winter Trilogy) by Katherine Arden

Book Review: Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín

★★★★★ HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did since it is out of my norm for reading genres. I do like historical fiction, but its usually still packed with action, mystery, intrigue. This is not an action-packed book and to be honest not that much… Continue reading Book Review: Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín
