Writer Habits: Sleep

I don’t know how many of you are like me, but even though I am working to organize and improve my habits and life…I still can’t seem to get going in the morning! I don’t know if it’s a writer thing, a lazy thing, or a depression thing, but I go to bed all excited to get up at 6 am to have two hours to myself and with Charlotte before I have to leave for work, but when it comes time to  hop out of bed, I press the snooze button for half an hour…then another half hour, then another fifteen minutes because that will really make the difference. Then, I trudge out of bed, get dressed, get ready, and rush myself and Charlotte out the door worrying I’ll be late. When I look at my Samsung watch it shows I got 9 hours and 23 minutes of sleep last night! It’s not a staying up late thing or a not enough sleep thing. I’m just so cozy in my awesome, warm bed that I don’t want to get out! But I need to wake up earlier if I want to not rush all the time and have some extra time to pick up, spend time with Charlotte, and, I don’t know, eat breakfast. So I guess my question is…

Do any of you have trouble waking up in the morning?

If you don’t, what are your tips and tricks for popping up with the rising sun?
