I’ve kept up with the show, but I just started reading the books last year. The first one was okay, a little slow getting to know all the different characters, but this second one is great! It’s hard to put down.
This is my lunchbreak at work read. I’ve been excited about this one because I had to wait for the new year to start it. January is turning out to be a good challenge and I look forward to decluttering my life.
This one has been a long time coming. It has been dubbed my “Staying at my boyfriend’s house and I forgot my book” book. I like the stories, but don’t love them.
FINISHED READING IN 2018:
One of my new favorite zombie reads! I loved how it combined known fairy tales with “the plague” and the unique twist on zombies who can feel, think, and act intelligently without speaking, but just can’t stop their ravenous hunger. I would recommend for anyone who likes zombies or fairy tales.
This was one of the best collections of the series so far! I love the dynamic between Rick and Negan right now. And I LOVE the new threat of the Whisperers. When we first met them I was so confused! It’s great now that I’m reading beyond the TV series because everything is new and fresh again.
This one was the most exciting collection of TWD comics yet by far! I love the new group and their threat against Rick and his people.
This is the last TWD book for a while. I love how it ended, and I was surprised. I’m excited to see how Rick goes on after everything and also to see where Negan takes his new role. I’m really starting to love him, even with how awful he was before!
This was a really was a really interesting book. It didn’t remind me of anything else I’ve read and I loved the old gods pitted against the new gods. (And the description of the new gods really made you hate them even though Americans do seem to worship them). I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read for entertainment and has an interest in folklore.
